IRCC invites 1,400 candidates in Express Entry draw for French Proficiency

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted a new Express Entry draw. This marks the 16th draw conducted by IRCC in 2024.

In the Express Entry latest draw held on April 24, 2024, invitations were issued to 1,400 candidates through a French language proficiency draw. Invited candidates were required to have a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 410 to be eligible.

Candidates invited in this draw, have 60 days to prepare and submit a complete application for permanent residence (PR) to the IRCC.

Responding to your Invitation to Apply

If you were issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in this draw, you will receive a message in your account informing you of the invitation.

You will be asked to provide proof of the information you provided while creating your Express Entry profile. IRCC will then assess whether the information you submit in your Canada PR application matches the information provided in your Express Entry profile. Additionally, you will be required to pay the mandatory Canada PR application fee, which includes a processing fee for you and your family members, a right of Permanent Residence fee, and a biometric fee.

On May 31, 2023, IRCC finalized six new categories for Express Entry draws. These categories were chosen after considering labour market predictions and consulting with various partners, stakeholders, and provincial & territorial governments. Your chances of receiving an invitation to the upcoming Express Entry draws will entirely depend on your CRS score. The higher your score, the more your chances of gaining Canadian permanent residency.
